I have worked in education since 2008, and I've had the opportunity to work with students in a variety of educational settings. I have developed a particular interest in helping students who are capable and motivated but struggle to manage the demands of school independently. I believe students should be taught how to manage their learning—not simply be told what they need to do.

My approach focuses on practical, individualized strategies for organization, planning, time management, prioritization, task initiation, study skills, and self-monitoring. The goal is not to create dependence on a tutor or coach, but to help students gradually develop the skills and confidence to manage their responsibilities on their own.

With 22 years of history teaching experience, I am looking forward to working with your child to help them meet the rigors of their course of study. I help with both understanding historical content and analytical writing. 

I have experience teaching both middle school and high school level Spanish. I enjoy tutoring Spanish one to one to offer both academic support as well as the opportunity to further language acquisition in a more personalized setting. 

I'm a native Spanish speaker with both of my parents born in the north of Spain. I am passionate about my culture and have enjoyed teaching Spanish at the high school level for 15 years. During my virtual sessions, I work with all ages to reach various objectives including elementary natural language acquisition, AP exam and CLEP exam prep.
